In the first leg of the Recopa Sudamericana Boca Juniors edged FC Sao Paulo 2-1. Rodrigo Palacio scored twice in the second half for Boca, the goal for Sao Paulo was scored by 20 year old "Thiago". In this competition the winner of the Copa Libertadores faces the winner of the Copa Sudamericana. The second leg is scheduled on Thusday, Sept. 14 in Sao Paulo.
